A quality coffee shop or food outlet might not be the first thing you would expect to see in an industrial park but when Raine and Horne Commercial director Anthony Vulinovich took a straw poll, the results were overwhelming. Mr Vulinovich, who is working on The Tonkin Highway Industrial Estate in Bayswater for Linc Property, said the off-the-plan buyers of 40 lots in stage one of the estate were almost unanimous in expressing a desire for quality food and drink.
“From our experience in Northlink Industrial Park and the Swan Brewery Industrial Estate, the demand from businesses and staff for quality food and coffee options is strong,” he said.
“A survey of recent land estate buyers has highlighted a commercial need for meeting locations close to the business in a professional but casual environment.”
Linc Property hired Meyer Shircore Architects to draw up indicative plans for Lot 188, a 1884sqm site on the corner of Railway Parade and the new Wicks Street extension opposite one of the estate’s communal landscaped and sheltered lunch areas.
Tonkin Highway Industrial Estate is on Railway Parade in Bayswater, 8km from the CBD and 3km from Perth Airport.
Mr Vulinovich said the estate had unlocked one of Perth’s most significant industrial infill sites.
Settlement of stage one sales is anticipated within the next two months.“We are looking forward to working with interested parties,” Mr Vulinovich said of aspiring food and coffee owners or operators.
